Did you update your iphone OS to OS 3.0 and found that your.

Iphone could not activate cellular data network:  You are not subscribed to a cellular data service.

The Fix:

1) You have to change the APN configuration.

You can download the iPhone Configuration Utility for Windows for Mac iPhone Configuration Utility for Mac OS X

or the easiest way is to use Safari on your phone go to http://unlockit.co.nz

configure the following

APN: wap.cingular
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
