How to get into Recovery Console. Adding Recovery Console to Windows Boot Menu

The Recovery Console, provides a command prompt environment that lets you access your FAT, FAT32, or NTFS partitions and perform system recovery operations.

You can access the Recovery Console in either of two ways: Boot the system to the installation CD-ROM and launch the Recovery Console from there, or install the Recovery Console onto the system so that it’s available as an option from the boot menu.

Windows XP, Vista does not detect CD / DVD ROM. Fixing missing CD / DVD ROM

To fix this problem in Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Vista, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to device manager Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager

    a. Right click and uninstall the missing CD / DVD ROM

Step 2. Remove the registry entries.

Redirect to windowsclick.com site is a result of UACd.sys trojan activity. Method 1:

Enter the Recovery Console if you need help and don’t know how to get into Recovery Console click here

Boot the system using the Windows XP CD-ROM. In the first screen when the Setup begins, read the instructions press “R” (in the first screen) enter the Recovery Console. Type-in the built-in Administrator password to enter the Console. You’ll see the prompt reading C:\Windows (Or any other drive-letter where you’ve installed XP)
