Before unlocking your 3G running iPhone OS 3.0 please read the important note.

*Make sure you backup all your data before you start.

Step 1: You need the following software in order to do the unlocking.

    * jailbreak your iphone if you have not click here to read post

    * internet connection    

Step 2: Get a WIFI connection through Settings > WIFI

• Go to Cydia on your SpringBoard
  

• Open Cydia choose “User(Graphical Only)”
  

• Go back into Cydia and do a Upgrade Essential

• Then go into Cydia and select Manage

  • Enter the follow: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
    

   

  
  

   

  • Select Done
    

   

  
  

   

  • Go to
    Search and search for Ultrasn0w select Ultrasn0w
    

   

   

  
  

   

  • Install
    and then
    Confirm
    

   

  
  

   

  • Reboot Device
    

   

  
  

   

   

  Congratulation!!! You have unlock your iphone 3G with firmware 3.0

    * redsn0w you can download that here or here or here

    * Firmware 3.0 for your 3G here or here

    * internet connection

Step 2: Ok let’s get started. Make sure you have itune installed

• Extract redsn0nw and run it

   

  

   

  Browse for the firmware should be the iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

  Select it and then hit Next
  

   

  You should get something like this

   

  

   

  Then make you have “Install Cydia” check then hit Next and Next again.

  

   

  Before moving on you are gonna have put the phone into DFU Mode just follow the instruction on screen so turn off your phone and follow instruction

   

  

   

  

   

  

   

  Just wait and let it go to work.

  Your iphone should be now jailbroken. Once redsn0w is done installing and your iphone rebooted back into SpringBoard you will now see Cydia

One of the great things about the iphone is being able to use Skype. If you had a Skype account and have a WIFI or 3G network you can use the VOIP (voice over internet protocol) feature to call out. Because of this AT&T has banned Skype from making calls using it’s 3G data network.

But can you bypass this by jailbreaking your phone and installing voipover3g.

How to install voipover3g

Step 1: After jailbreaking your phone then open cydia

Step 2: Do a search for voipover3g

Step 3: Select VoIPover3G and install then confirm

Step 4: Restart Spring Board

Did you update your iphone OS to OS 3.0 and found that your.

Iphone could not activate cellular data network:  You are not subscribed to a cellular data service.

The Fix:

1) You have to change the APN configuration.

configure the following

APN: wap.cingular
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
