How to get into Window Safe Mode with Windows XP and Windows Vista
On the Windows Start menu, choose Turn off computer and click Restart
or if the computer is already shut down then Power up unit.
As the computer restarts, a progress bar will appear at the bottom of the screen, immediately press F8 once every second, before the progress bar reaches the right side of the screen.
On the Windows Start-up menu, highlight Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter.
Your desktop will appear. Make the necessary repairs.
Restart the computer and allow it to boot normally.
