Jailbreaking and unlocking Iphone 3G with firmware 3.0 Step by step guide

Before jailbreaking and unlocking your 3G running iPhone OS 3.0 please read the important note.

*Make sure you backup all your data before you start.

Step 1: You need the following software in order to do the unlocking.

* itune 8.2.0.23 you can download load that here

* redsn0w you can download that here or here or here

* Firmware 3.0 for your 3G here or here

* internet connection

Step 2: Ok let’s get started. Make sure you have itune installed

Extract redsn0nw and run it

Browse for the firmware should be the iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

Select it and then hit Next

You should get something like this

Then make you have “Install Cydia” check then hit Next and Next again.

Before moving on you are gonna have put the phone into DFU Mode just follow the instruction on screen so turn off your phone and follow instruction

Just wait and let it go to work.

Your iphone should be now jailbroken. Once redsn0w is done installing and your iphone rebooted back into SpringBoard you will now see Cydia
